Re: does your bike have a name?

Mine is named Shadowfax after the white horse Gandalf rode in Lord of the Rings. My boys 9 and 14 helped me name it :D also "orgasmatron" was taken.

Re: SW-MOTECH Crashbars/Engine Guards

Just installed mine a few minutes ago. Thinking of getting some highway pegs to mount on the sides that can be folded down ... thoughts?
I was thinking about that also, but I am concerned about my pants leg melting on the hot cylinder head.

Re: Roadside Assistance

$99 for a 100 miles seems like a good deal. I was towed recently with the BMW program and had to wait over an hour and a half, but that's probably a problem with my area/time of day and not the program. The tow truck driver treated the bike very well and was willing to drop the bike at my house ins...

Re: Quiet full face Helmet

Thanks for all the replies. To answer an earlier question, I now have a cheapo vega that was given to me free when I bought one of my old bikes. A few months ago I tried a Scorpion 900 and I returned it. Too noisy, too heavy. I decided then that I want a quality helmet to fit my quality bike and I d...

Nope- Sold the Harley on Saturday and my VTX 1800 is for sale now. I love riding my R1200R so much my other bikes would just be sitting. Plus- my wife is tolerating my hobby pretty well not to mention she's a gourmet cook :smt055

Re: Welcome New Members (and old) - Introduce Yourself!

Hi, my name is AJ and I live in Summerville, SC. (near Charleston, SC). I am a brand new R1200R owner (2009 White for the pure of heart). I currently own a Honda VTX1800 and a Harley Ultra. Problem is my wife does not see the need for 2 motorcycles, much less 3. I retorted with "You wouldn't as...
