Do you have enough slack in the throttle?
I have had this problem and it was due not enough slack in the gas throttle cable.

I have in my stock of parts a 80 watt halogen h11 bulb. I'm thinking of using it as a replacement for my high beam bulb. Does anyone think the exra watts will be hotter to the point of damage? In the past I've had no problems, but in this plastic world I wonder. I have fitted to my R1200R ´12 a H11...
