Hi All.... This is my 1st opportunity to get back on the board since I meet up with Rob yesterday.....All I can say is WOW.....He is "Da Man"....He quickly diagnosed the problem,( the GD hose for the TWINMAX... I was SO embarrassed) :oops: ....and except for one item I still can't explain....

How old is the Twinmax, how old is the battery in the Twinmax? The Twinmax came with the bike. I bought it used in 07 with 6k miles on it. I'm pretty sure it had never been used before I got it. I know when the battery starts to wear the readings can be erratic ....battery was swapped with brand ne...

I'll try to keep this as short as possible but include details I think relevant. 04 R1150R....51k miles....Do my own maintenance...valves adjust every 6k along with oil change....TB sync seemingly more often than at oil change interval. I'll describe immediate symptom 1st..... Coming home...

Thanks Everyone for your input. I went back to the dealer , got the alternate ref number belt,( the ref number I included above) went back to the house popped it on......all good,...... As far as ajustment goes, wedged a pry bar carefully under the front of the alternator, pushed up, tightend the 13...

Yes..it's the latch that wedges under the mounting bracket and secures the side case to the bike when you snap the handle closed. Looked at the parts breakdown and looks like the "multifunction box" needs to be relpaced.........$159 is indeed pricey........so...I'm looking for a used one.....

WFT....I go to get something outta my left case. at work yesterday.........close it up and ..Lo and Behold..the case is loose...Hhhhhhmmmmmm..that doesn't seem right.......sh!t.....the case came off in my hand as I tugged at it...WTF.....The latch that secures it to the mounting bracket is broken of...

Don't mean to hijack this thread......but....noticed my horn didn't work today on the ride home from work........found the green wire on the harness side of the horn had broken.......bike out of warranty as of 3/31........go figure........barely enough wire to do solder connection.......might work b...

2004 1150RA w/ ABS . Bought in May '07 with 6500 miles. Currently ~19K. 2nd set of tires have almost 10k on 'em. I love to "ride it like I stole it"......not really ,it's very well taken care of, but it is my intent to "grind it to dust" I'd buy another in a NY minute.

The Sargent worked wonders for.......I found out pretty quick that the stock "low" seat was good for exactly 60 minutes of straight riding.... 30 mins not too bad 45 min....startin' to ache 50 min...achin' pretty good 60 min...get me the hell off..... I got mine about 3 k mile ago and afte...

Hey All,
Does anyone here have any experience / feelings regarding the Bosch "premium" oil filters Bob's BMW sells? After chocking up $19 for OEM at Atlanta BMW, $9 sounds a lot more reasonable. The bike is still under warranty until April 2008.

Super.... I just got my title back a few days ago.....It's a GREAT feeling. I'll have my Honda Shadow ACE sold by the end of the week, so my cash outlay wasn't too bad. Now..the Beakster is totally mine, the Shadow will be gone...and I'll have plenty-o-room in the garage!
