Re: (new rider) wind while riding at 50 mph uncomfortable
Keep up the riding and getting the experience under your belt, soon it will be 60 that makes you nervous... eventually 90...

Re: (new rider) wind while riding at 50 mph uncomfortable
Of and by the way, I have dropped mine once... On my first long ride after getting the bike I dropped it at a stop sign on my way home 2 blocks from my house, It slowly fell like a tree cut down by a lumberjack.

Re: (new rider) wind while riding at 50 mph uncomfortable
800 miles riding experience... The R1150R is HUGE for a beginner. I am a relative new rider with only 4 or 5 years riding experience. I started with a old 1984 Honda VT500 Ascot, has similar riding geometry as the R1150R but the bike is 500cc and weights just over 400 pounds (If I remember correctly...

Re: Fitting a full sized left bag on R1150r
I have full sized bags on my R1150R, I believe they came off of an R1150RT. The previous owner just removed the muffler and added a small chrome exhaust tip just after the plenum. It saves a lot of weight and the bike is not loud even without the muffler. The exhaust is directed somewhat down and th...

I will have to agree with the other posts. Before the lights, before the back brace, before the air horn... Get a good pair of boots and pants. Protect yourself, then the bike, it's easier to fix. I do find the horn on the R1150R sufficiently loud to attract the attention of other drivers. I have re...

Torsen,
The front side mounting holes have been ground down, the PO completed this mod, I wish I had more information than the photos. Let me know if you would like any more specific photos.

Re: Want a new front fender. Any suggestions?
Here are a few more detailed shots of my front fender, please excuse the dirty bike... I am also planning on adding the 'Fenda Extenda' this spring. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a205/jcrona/Fender%20Side_zpsk2riuyqf.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a205/jcrona/Fender%20Top_zps8gsymiy6.jpg ...

Re: Summertime coolant service.....
