I was impressed by the HV30. If the HF20 is as good, I might pick up one myself. It's only $799 at Newegg, and they often have a 0% financing deal with no payments for 6 months (sometimes 12 months if the item costs more than $1K).

Good question. No, the pan was perfectly clean when I started. Guess I'll take it to the dealer and ask. Really looks like a silicon gasket for something. Pretty small thing, whatever it is.

I found this in the pan after draining the oil today:

The rubbery looking thing on the left, not the dime. Kind of gasket looking -- or maybe like the latex ring on a hamster condom. Any ideas?
