Techron question?

Hello everybody! I am planning to Techron my gas tank for two refill prior to proceed the usual oil change & in the process switch from Amsoil to Spectro because my mechanic find my spark-plugs a bit too lean since many services.... he think it would help. The deal is that I already use 91 Chevr...

Re: Handlebar bag recommendation - R1200R

Hummmmm... :P This stuff might be nice to use in urban mode when needed to play it light... for example when going to party with the bike and still wearing the bike suit. Seems much lighter than a tank bag and more ergonomically designed to carry around with the shoulder strap. Just city wise conven...

Re: Bad - Ignition Switch? Anntena?

Good news parkec ! I wrote earlier that I had some quite similar issues going on with my bike and my battery is 2 or 3 yrs old but I am riding everyday constantly sucking on it... 70 to 100 miles a day. You had weird dashboard boots & reboots if I remember well so me as well... I am going try a ...

Re: Odd load & design "challenge"... need feedbacks

Thanks guys! I just needed few feedbacks because since almost 10 crazy obsessional days I was stuck at figuring out a clean way to use those magnets for this specific project but I think I am going to give up on them now... I ordered two 18" to 60" adjustable ROK straps. Also a special tha...

Re: Odd load & design "challenge"... need feedbacks

I copy you dbrick...I knooowww it's a mess. But trust me those magnet are almost dangerous to manipulate because of their aggressiveness. I like the magnet idea but I feel like I need to stick with the good old bungee stuff. I carried the board from San Diego to LA with bungees when it was new in a ...

Re: Bad - Ignition Switch? Anntena?

Interesting.... it sound like we have almost the same problem parkec as I recently described on my "Weird dashboard booting..." post. Except that my issues happened so far %99 when my bike was parked and never lead to being stuck with a dead bike on the side of the road... power come back ...

Odd load & design "challenge"... need feedbacks

Hello! Question First! What would you use to safely glue 3 or 4 small pieces of metal as big as a quarter coin on the plastic lead of a GIVI rear topcase? I need a glue that will be outdoor resistant, easy to remove & cleanable if needed to be. I have this tedious & stressful task these days...

Re: Weird dashboard booting...

@ deilenberger Yes Don I have a Centech fuse box with a relay that came with the fuse box or the canbus adapter... I don't remember precisely. But I agree it look like a protective system is activated. My mechanic removed the gas tank and moved everything in there but didn't anything... he then als...

Re: Rejuvenation ?

Thanks Lost Rider! What's "R"your mileage? I ride sometimes near Ojai... actually I have to be there in 2 weeks. This Bazzaz fuel controller seem an interesting option, the company look reliable... I am in LA and they are in Chino Hills I think that might help as well. I have to say that e...

Rejuvenation ?

At around 75 000 miles what are the few mechanical things to adjust or clean on the engine (in addition to the usual services) that I could request on my bike to sort of rejuvenate her?... to feel it fresh, speedy & responsive as it was during the first years for example. What could I as ask my ...

But thanks for the tip ;)

RPM in the red

Do we have a system that protect the engine when we reach the RPM red? I was playing a bit on a safe straight road the other day...wasn't looking at the RPM but still was trying to push the bike over there in fourth of fifth gear just for few seconds.... but suddenly I felt the engine repressing pow...
