Can anyone tell me what options I have and cost estimates to lower a R1150R. I need to take the seat height down 2". Thanks.

Look a few headings below under, "Do I have a high or a low seat." There are photos of a high, medium, (silver-blue R1150R) and further down a low seat (black R1150R).
Notice the drop from the front of the seat (by gas tank) to the main body height of the seat (an inch or two back from the front). 2.5 - 3.0+ inch drop and you've probably got a low saddle, 1.5 inch drop is a medium, 0.5 - 1.0+ and you've got a tall.
I have a low seat and the part number is "2 328 718, PP TV20" It's not a BMW part number so I'm guessing the seat is farmed out to another manufacturer for BMW.
There a plenty of folks looking to trade, I myself being one if you have a medium and want a low.

The easiest way is choose between the diferent seat heights, if the low seat doesn't quite do it you can gain ~ 1/2" via cutting down the rubber pads on the bike frame that support the seat, if I remember correctly DSKYZD had a post with pics a few years back....but I've been known to miss the target.
Suspension changes is another way, but it does affect the center stand operation as it would have to be cut down accordingly, that is unless you are Superman and can munster the strength to get the bike on the CS.

If "r" has same seat as rt front rubber knobs their is mod. on site with photo's on how to lower 1 inch that way with seat one all ready has, or the most expensive is purchase of Progressive shocks that will lower 2' more, so all in all 3-5" lower will all the options, seat lowering angles, thinner seat, Progressive shocks!

I think Patrick Rys was the lowering expert because he loved the bike but had serious shortage of leg. I know he cut nearly all the padding out of the seat as well as dropping the forward seat mount blocks. I just recently shimmed those blocks up, to raise the front of the stock (low) seat. The seat is shimmed something like 3/4" at the front. I was sliding into the tank on stops. I don't know if he shortened the shocks, but I'll bet he did. If it was me, I'd forget the center stand. The RR is a heavy brute even with the extra leverage.
