The front brake reservoir is leaking. Looks like it is coming out of the botom of the reservoir. Didn't have time to investigate farther.
Has anyone had this issue happen or know if they are fixable?

Yes, its a common fault unfortunately, details here on the ever helpful Anton Largiader's web site: http://www.largiader.com/tech/r11mc/
You need BMW p/n 32 72 2 332 037 - rebuild kit and p/n 32 72 2 310 756 - boot, Repair was done by Local BMW dealer on my bike for PO, total cost parts & labor €88. Try and clean away as much of the leaking fluid as you can, it inevitability will damage paintwork on the handlebar lever/switch unit, but you may be able to minimise it until you get the repair done.

Had the same problem on my 1996 R1100r with just 17k miles. First tried rebuild kit but in the end still leaked due to internal corrosion, ended up with new master cylinder unit from Beemer boneyard and wasted the time and money on rebuild kit. Consider that before making a purchase. BTW, you would be wise to replace your brake lines while you're at it.
