I love the white ones - trade you for a Canuck blue model?

Cracking shot. Great angle of the bike. Looks beautifully balanced. The sports screen and silver crash bars are nice and subtle aren't they?

Here are some photos of a trip I recently did from Brisbane down to Melbourne. Normally about 1800kms, however I took a few 'back roads' and zig-zagged from coast roads to inland roads and ended up taking about 3300kms to get there. Had a great time and the bike was flawless.

Wow, really nice pictures Jed1! That's some lovely countryside you rode - my kind of roads... I thought Australia was all desert!

Hi Peter,

Yes there is a lot of desert here, however most is in central Australia. The rest of the continent (especially the east coast) here ranges from rain forest to dry scrub/bushland and just about everything in between. A bit of a mixed bag really.

Its so nice to get out on the road for a few weeks and just leave work and everything behind. Nothing like the open winding road and an R1200R to put a smile on your face.

Safe riding,

Jed.

When he was visiting, my dad showed me on Google Maps where the folks from the Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri have placed a marker at all the places they've visited. Mac & Ernie's Roadside Eatery looked like the best nearby target on the map, so today I took a trip out to Tarpley, Texas which is out in Hill Country and is a wonderful ride through Bandera and along some amazing twisties. The food was un-frapping-believably good...almost as good as the ride.

If you're ever in Texas, this place is worth the ride (of course, what place isn't?) http://macandernies.com/

Here's a shot of the front of the restaurant:

...and one from the ride home.

High and dry. Storms all around me with lots of soaked roads but never a drop on me. Can't sit home every time the weather man says it might rain. Got a good 80 mile ride in through the mountains past some ski resorts. Bike got real dirty but the white doesn't show it too bad.

Joe - what sort of mileage do you get out of these tiny tires on your work box? You do tow it behind the R right?
