Great point- I didn't notice the bulges on the side and of course the advantage of a wider headlamp assy.

Nice shot Lumpycam, is that Langley? I wish we had more twisty roads without the slog through suburban hell to get to them...

You have a Canon body, do you not? Great pics!

Maybe, it was right around here. During a ride out and along Zero Ave. on the border. Probably one of the nicest straight roads i've ever come across (it literally runs the along the border with a ditch separating Canada from our brothers to the south).

Yep - a Canon 5D mk1. I use an adapter for Nikkor glass or just purchased a 20mm 2.8 prime that i've taken a few shots with. I'd say about 75% of the pics on Daily Rider are with a little Canon IXY 910 point and shoot, however. It all comes down to what will fit in your pocket.

I've been thinking about getting a point & shoot recently. I have Nikon D40 which is pretty small for a DSLR, but not small enough for just throwing in the tankbag regularly. Yours little Canon takes great pics, maybe my love affair with Nikon will endure a small indiscretion...

Yes, Zero Ave. is a nice ride, done it many times.

As an aside, I took my daughter out to the 'Smallville' (the superman TV series) location (8th at 248th) to see the Kent farm... she loved it.

If you have a Smallville fan in the house, it's a good side trip...

Great photos there Lumpycam. Do you happen to remember the camera settings (fstop, shutter, iso) on the campfire shot? Oops, I meant Chitown.

Those campfire shots are dynamite (as they all are), Chitown! I'll wager something around f4 based on the depth of field and 4 seconds based on the fire trails, about 15min after sunset.

The second one on the Gulf of St. Lawrence was shot at:

That little 3 and 1/2 inch light really puts out some lumens! Might have to pick one up. Thanks for the link.
