Parking Outside

I recently switched job locations. My new work office has no parking garage so I'm stuck parking outside all day now. No shade. I'm trying to think ahead to protect my Rockster against the Colorado Sun. I'd rather not cover it up if it's dirty (something else to carry too).

Has anyone ever used any UV protectant sprays? I know Krylon has one that's clear. My bike is matte black with orange decal stripes. (stock color)

Nelson-Rigg UV protector half cover is my best bet. Why gunk up your paint job, and it will keep prying eyes from seeing things.

FWIW the indy shop owner that's maintained my bike said you can leave it in the rain, the snow, the sun, you can't kill this bike.

It's what I've been doing, it's convenient, and no adverse effects. If the paint goes bad I'll just respray it.

You probably can't kill it, but leaving outside the whole day every day you'll find a remarkable number of things that rust.

Nothing that a quick shot of rustoleum's rust reformer can't take care of :-)
