I love my inexpensive tank bag, however, it does mes up my transponder going through the tolls. I can't mount it to the windscreen (too close to the mag-bag). I have found if I keep the transponder in my breast pocket and sit tall while riding through the EZ-Pass lane it will work.

Low idle

Well, I've been trying to do an at home tune up. I did the valve adjustments, took my time and believe I got it right. I replaced all the plugs (checked the gaps). I want to check the sync on the TB's next. Before I do, I need to address the low idle. My bike (Rockster) is very rought to start and w...

I found the secondaries.

I had BOSCH YR6LDE in my bike for the seconary. They are rather fouled up. I have been trying to find them or an equivalent for them in a 50 mile radius and am not having any luck. I'll have to buy from the dealer and have them shipped it appears. The NGK's on the primary are available at sparkplugs...

04 Rockster question

Alright, I'm a little confused to say the least. I have an 04 Rockster that states it's a dual or twin spark. The plugs I have in there are the NGK BKR7EKC-N's, it has two electrodes. Is this what they are refering to about the dual or twin spark? Also; There was a parts list on here that I cannot f...

Rockster questions:

" What does "Ruzor" mean?"(referring to the lettering on the Rocks tank) "Wow! It has 2 engines!! That must go wicked fast!!" "Where is the exhaust?" (After I droped the can) I replied that it was a Hydrogen fuel cell and that water dripped out of the cat. :ar...

Review: Dunlops D616

Hi all. I just put on a new set of D616's from Dunlop. I chose this tire as I've always had great luck with Dunny's on my cars and trucks. After 250 miles, so far so good. The tread pattern is more of a sport tourer designed for wet weather (which we need in new England so far this year!) I can feel...

Front tire cupping

I must be going blind or was not really looking closely but not only are the skins on my Rock wearing thin prematurely, the front tire is cupping badly! The front has been kept at 35.3 and 38 at the rear. I weigh in at 270 buck naked so maybe 280 fully clothed. jm1515 suggests 36/38 (thank yo...

While we are on the subject...

My '04 Rock I purchased in March with 1700 miles now has 3500 miles. The tread on what I assume are the factory Michelin Pilot Sports are already wearing thin. I have maintained the pressure according to the owners manual. I am a newbie to riding, so my riding isn't overly aggressive yet. I am serio...

I was at a British Iron swap meet in Oxford, MA Sunday. Lots of Triumphs, some BSA's and some Nortons. Very interesting bikes indeed. (their owners were "interesting" too) I was standin near the parking area looking at some of the bikes in the parking area when the first drop occure...

me three! or is it me four?

Hello all. I got my '04 Rockster (Black and orange) back in March. I've been up on 2 wheels for 1300 miles now. (first bike ever at 40 years of age) I've been perusing the pages here and have picked up some great tips and advice and enjoyed meeting you "characters". I'll place some pics so...
