Re: Silly headlight question...

Nope, it stays on. Both beams are lit when the high is on. Nice conversion by the way. Any more pics?

Sargent seat on the Rockster

Does anybody have any pictures of a Sargent seat on a Rockster? Also, I've seen all the posts describing how comfortable the rider seat is. Does anyone have an opinion on the passenger seat. My wife would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,
Dan

Re: is this the best bike ever?

I can honestly say without a doubt that I bought the right bike. After 5 years of riding my green Rockster I'm still in love. My eye does wander a bit, but even after test riding other bikes I still like mine the best. One more payment and it's all mine!!!! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3201/266720...

Re: New sounds from the brakes.

I gave it a quick look and everything looks ok. Fluid level was fine at the time, so I didn't bleed the system. Maybe I should do that just to be sure.

New sounds from the brakes.

Hey everyone! About two weeks ago, I replaced the brake pads on the front and rear of my '04 Rockster. I used DSKYZD's post on how to do this. http://r1150r.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13283 Things seemed to go well, and everything went as planned. But here's the thing, I have since noticed th...

Re: 12v accessory socket

On my Rockster the plug itself was an option. If I remember correctly, the plug itself was around $15 and installs in a hole on your starter cover that has a blank plug that you need to remove. There is a small quick connect to the wire loom behind this cover that the new plug will snap into. I don'...

Same thing happened to me. I replaced all of the bulbs to no avail. I decided it must be the relay and popped the seat off to look. With the engine not running, I turned on my blinkers and started pulling relays until they quit. When I put the relay back in, the blinkers were fine. The relay had jus...

Re: Christmas - was Santa good to you?

My wonderful (and I mean WONDERFUL) wife got me a Springfield Armory XD 45 caliber pistol. The coolest thing was that I knew nothing about it before-hand. I got great slippers, and a couple of great shirts as well. What'd you get?! Got a Springfield XD40 sub-compact last year. I love it! Other than...

Just underneath the end of the pipe is a 3/16" pop rivet. You have to drill this out and pull on the baffle with pliers. It's just a tube about one foot long that slides out. If you want to put it back in, just use another pop rivet or do what I did and use a screw. I'll post pics if you need s...

It really depends on how tall you are. I'm 6'1 and my arms are long enough so I don't have alot of my weight resting on my hands. You do lean forward more on the Rockster than the Roadster, but it's nowhere near as far forward as on a crotch rocket. I like the ergos just fine.
