Re: Need Low Seat and Ordering from Wunderlich
I think I have a low seat, but I can't figure out how to tell. To me the seat is too low, and I would like something higher. I have a 31.5 inch inseam, and I can easily flat-foot. How do I know what seat I have?

Helen 2 Wheels waterproof duffels, bags, etc. A more flexible option than a top case. Marsee tank bag with Corona mount (quick disconnect). This is nice because nothing touches painted surface of tank. Cee Bailey 22 inch dome top windshield Wunderlich throttle lock - a tremendous wrist saver! If you...

Re: Hand Guards
A related question: would the hand guards interfere with using a throttle lock? I have a Wunderlich throttle lock that I like very much. I wouldn't want lose it to have hand guards.

I bought two 8 1/2 x 11 inch 3M Black sheets and cut the pieces myself with an exacto knife. I used heavy construction paper first to create a template, then laid the 3M under the template and cut out the shapes I wanted for my cases. Pretty easy and saved some $$ over the precut kits.

Re: BMW Touring Windshied vs. Cee Bailey vs. Parabellum
I have the 22 inch dome top Cee Bailey on my 2002 R1150R. I am 5' 11" tall, long torso and the wind hits me right at my eye brows, however, it doesn't cause me any turbulence issues. I am not completely out of the wind, but then again, I'm not looking through a windshield either; I'm still look...

Re: Versatile GPS
I spent about $18 on a RAM mount to put my Nuvi 750 that I already owned on my RR. It's not waterproof, and I've only been caught in the rain with it one time. On that occasion I pulled a quart-sized Ziploc bag out of my tank bag and slipped it over the Nuvi! Worked like a charm. I just can't justif...

A 2007 Chevy Duramax diesel 3/4 ton pickup. It weighs nearly 7000 lbs., can tow 14,500 lbs., and I regularly get 19-20 mpg on my daily commute. I love my Duramax!

[quote="iowabeakster"]TNoutback, if you could post a picture, I'm sure we could take a guess....or maybe a part number.[quote] There is what appears to be a part number stamped on the underside of the seat within a rectangle. There is the BMW logo, then the numbers "2 328 718", f...

Re: What a Difference a seat makes
How do you tell which seat you have on your bike? Judging by the picture above, mine is not a high seat. Mine has a pronounced forward slope to it. Standard or low? How do I tell?

Re: Windscreen mounting
The BMW Accessories web site has the touring windshield in the product selection pages. Select the touring windshield and it will give you a product number. You will also notice on the right hand side a selection box for "Replacement Parts", both dome washers and gaskets and screws and wel...

Re: Looking for more & brighter rear lighting ideas.
I added P3+ Lights on the rear on each side of my license plate. They were easy to install and are very bright.

Mounts for BMW Sport and Touring Screens the Same?
Can anyone tell me if the BMW OEM Sport and Touring windscreens share the same mounts? I have the Sport screen, and after last evening's short ride I was covered in smashed bugs. Stopped twice in 20 miles just to clean my helmet visor so I can see. I want something taller. I tried looking up part nu...

Re: Another Windshield Question
I keep reading posts referencing a "fly screen". Is that the same as the BMW Sport Screen? BMW's accessories website lists, for the R1150R, the "Speedster", "Sport", "Touring" and "High Windshield 380mm" screens; I don't see anything labled "fly...

Re: Fast idle doesn't lock?
I believe it is a sprung lever; at least the top position. Mine has a center position that it will release and hold to in order to hold the fast idle. I turn it off when I begin to ride.

Re: R1150R Eating Batteries
Thank you all for your thoughts. Dealer retested alternator, parasitic loads, etc. and found nothing. They also installed a new battery. No charge. Upon picking up the bike, the service manager said, 'we'll now see if you ride it more than the previous owner, and if you keep it on a trickle charger ...

Re: Several options for adding lights at the back
I just installed the P3+ lights and are very pleased with the results. I mounted mine on each side of the license plate, but they can just as easily be mounted horizontally below the plate to accommodate your parking pass. The key is to get them aimed correctly so they will be angled to the driver's...

R1150R Eating Batteries
Just bought a new-to-me 2002 R1150R last week from the local dealer. Only had 2100 miles on it and was a local trade and the dealer had complete service records on it. Reviewing the records I thought it odd that the bike was on its third battery since last June. It was a bit slow to turn over, so I ...
