Done it to 2 bikes. Best way, IMHO is to replace the entire final drive. You don't have to fret on assembly errors, and you can either sell the old one or keep it as a back-up. On an R1150 RS I went from stock to the Lower (higher numerically) GS 3.0. Stock gearing on the 1150 had the sweet spot at ...
