My girlfriend has an F800s and it really is very special... you must borrow one from your dealer for a couple of hours. I think R1150R riders would appreciate the F800st more so than the 800s but, hey, why not try both? I'd almost convinced myself that I could replace my R1150R with an 800s until th...

I have a '05 650GS in addition to my '04 R1150R... only way I could afford both was to get the R as an ex-loaner and the GS as an ex-off road school bike. Whilst the ex-ORS GS is pretty battered up from it's season it's a bargain as a low milage used bike that takes care of my commuting no matter ho...

Thanks everyone for their advice and invites!! We had a fantastic time, both hectic and relaxed... I guess that's NYC! Best part of two weeks there and we did so much yet only scratched the surface. After taking quite a few cab rides I've got to take my hat off to anyone who rides around Manhattan.....

Oh yeah, CBGBs is on the list :P I keep hearing it's shutting and then I hear it's already shut... i'll just go and see what the score is for myself. I don't really want to add to the cost of the trip by hiring a bike, no matter how bad two weeks without riding may be :smt087 Will probably try to fi...

Guys, thanks so much for the info!! I'm scribbling this all down for when we get there. Glad also to hear there's a chance we can catch the racing! I'm learning to play the piano at the moment and explained to a friend, who grew up in Brooklyn, i was concerned about missing practice. She recommended...

Thanks guys, we will definitely check out those places. How you know I love pizza?! Just realised also that the Motegi round of Moto GP is on whilst we are there. I'm not sure how popular the series is over there... you know your boy Nicky Hayden is leading, right? :D Being totally ignorant to...

Those wheels sure look trick DJ! I figured that they would be expensive. I know AC Schnitzer do them for the Rockster... would a 5.5 rear wheel work on the Roadster? I imagine that AC S are pricey also. I would consider paying though when you think about what you would lose in a trade-in. Although I...

NYC advice, please

So me and the girlfriend (both from the UK) are gonna be visiting Manhatten, for the first time, farely soon. We're really not into the usual tourest/shopping stuff. I would appreciate any 'must see' advice for a couple of bikers who both own and enjoy BMWs, streetfighters (me) and customs (her). Wh...

lighter wheels?

Although I look forward to trying a 1200R on the upcoming launch I'm in no rush to trade in my '04 1150R. With money spent on luggage, Remus, GPS kit etc I inteed to keep it for a few more years yet. However, when you look at all those juicy stats for the new bike it makes me wonder if I could spend...

Fitted to my '04 R1150R about 1,500 miles ago. Very impressed with them in all weathers. Really composed when i've gone into a few bends too hot!! Prefer these to the Dunlops I had on before and will most likely replace these with the same. Also, on the F800S launch the bike I tried was fitted with ...
