I found it. I cranked up and stared squeezing the harness untill she cut off. Right behind the fork sleeve. THe sheething is torn and and the ribbon wire has a spot on it.

I have discovered that the fuel pump stops when I turn the handlebars to the left or right. When I turn the bars when the motor is running it shuts down.

Any clues

Kickstand is up, checked it several times
No idea about the harness
Checked the kill switch several times and flipped it back and forth

bike has 33k miles, very clean bike

Additional information.

When I try to start the bike I hear a buzz/whine, such as a fuel pump maybe, and the bike will crank when I hear it. If that sound is not present it will not even turn over. When it conks out that sound is not there.

I just bought a 2004 R1150R and I've ridden it twice. Today I cranked it and it kept quitting on me.
