Don't forget that these bikes are also supposed to get an 'annual' service, regardless of whatever interval visits your riding mileage dictates. ALL fluids are changed out on that one.

My senior guys assert that Telever is also harder on a tire than conventional forks. Since it does such a wonderful job of isolating the bumps, it keeps all of that impact dead-center in the centerline of the tire. If you're not running higher than normal air-pressure, cupping can become notable.

See how long WD-40 will last. I picked that up from an article in Motorcycle Consumer news. It did a great job on my black parts that seems to be holding well.
