Re: After market exhausts - R1100R
I have the Ztechnik on my '99 and it is a nice deep rumble. I think it sounds awesome. Have gotten lots of compliments on it. When I get home I will try to see which one it is exactly. Really love it!

Re: New (to me) R1100R
I haven't got that noise on my R1100R but I think your guess is right in thinking it is your exhaust that is creating the noise. I have the standard exhaust still fitted. Do you have no noise when starting up your bike? Mine had a camchain noise which is caused by the left camchantensioner. I had m...

New (to me) R1100R
Just picked her up. '99 with 12000 miles and super clean. Older gentleman who polished her with a diaper. Rode home and had a blast. Just curious about one thing. Upon hard acceleration from say 3rd gear up, I noticed the faint and brief sound of what sounded like tiny pebbles in a can. The exhaust ...

r1100r vs r1150r
Just looking for some opinions here. I have the chance to purchase one of these two bikes and they are both listed for about the same price (~$4,500 which I think is too much). What do you guys and gals think? Here are the contenders: 1999 r1100r: 12,000 miles and immaculate with service records. Ow...

Re: New Owner: R1200R Classic - tubed tires
I may be wrong, but my understanding is that the Classic, inspite of its spoked wheels, actually uses tubeless tyres! If you look at the rim you will see the spokes radiate from the outer edge of the rim allowing the bead to seal. Please look at your rims and correct me if I am wrong! A photo of th...

Re: New Owner: R1200R Classic - tubed tires
Fear not. I had the exact same issues/misgivingsvthat you are having now. I spoke to everybody and their brother about this. There sveven a thread somewhere here that I started. I have had zero problems with the tires themselves. I did pick up a nail once and of course, needed a new tire. I do not r...

Re: 2011 R1200R Classic wanted
Just my .02 Keep looking and be patient. I was about to sign the papers on a brand new '11 from the dealer and then a family member who did some looking (unbeknownst to me) found an '11 with 1100 miles on it at a Harley dealer, of all places, about 250 miles from me. Guy who had traded it in was a c...

Re: Auxillary light mounts-Update!
So I went today to see someone in my area today who is know for his talents in metal fabricating to see if he can make some custom light mounts for my bike and here is what we unearthed. If you have a 2011 and now, the 2012, most, if not all, aftermarket fork mounts will likely not work due to the f...

Re: Auxillary light mounts
I did do a search and most of the threads wind up talking more about the actual lights rather than the mounts (which was very helpful in it's own right). I read up on Don's configuration and i think that is something that would work for me. But I guess I should have been more specific in my original...

Auxillary light mounts-Update!
Hey guys and gals! So I had mentioned that I am trying to add a little more light to the front of the bike, as I know many of you have. I read as much as I can about mounting options and it looks like lots of folks go with the luma links which look great and are about as functional as it gets. And w...

Re: Glenda Lights Wiring
Were you able to run all of this without any modifications to the canbus system? I'm looking to run a similar set up with hyper lights in the back, hellas in the front and would like to use my heated gear. Hopefully the system can handle it.

Re: Glenda Lights Wiring
I'm considering the same lights but not sure where to mount them. Any pics of how/where you mounted them. I really like these lights and think they would be great on the bike.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Head lamp...now tail light!
I was able to swing over to CCBMW in Metuchen after work and got it all sorted out. The culprit all along was the tail/brake light. The bulb did go so they installed a new one. This was only after the auto parts store by work gave me the wrong bulb (even though I brought the manual to the guy at the...

Head lamp...now tail light!
Well I suppose when it rains... I rode in to work today thinking at lunch I would hop on over to the auto parts store to get my new bulbs for my head lamp when at a light, a very nice motorist pulls up next to me and informs me that my brake/tail light is out as well. Ok, great. So I guess I will pi...

Re: Head lamp bulb question...
Hmmm...all good things to consider. Guess I will hop over to the auto parts store today and see what I see. I really appreciate the responses. Comforting to know that, if even for a simple headlight, I've got a virtual on-line tech support.
Stay tuned...I know this is exciting stuff

Head lamp bulb question...
Took a ride today and while on NJ's version of the Autobahn known as the Garden State Parkway, I go the dreaded warning/! sign. So I pulled into a rest area and pulled out the manual. I was very relieved to learn the cause was simply my low beam headlight was out. I normally ride with the hi...
