Fuel pump whine? Please help!
Hi all, Developed a high whining noise a while back and after a quick post here and responses I believed the problem was my alternator belt. See post: http://www.r1150r.net/board/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=25160 Anyway, after a quick research about how to access the belt I removed the cover and immedi...

Re: Strange noise - help required!
Yes mate!! It was indeed raining (a bit), pissing down at one point as we say in good old sunny England!! Uncannily, my bike has also done just on 4,500 miles
It still makes the noise now though even though it's obviously dried out so what's the cure?
Thanks for the reply

Strange noise - help required!
Hi all, Went out for a ride last week and apart from a near empty tank all was well. I filled up and went on my way without problem for a few miles before stopping at a shopping complex to have a rest and a look around. Upon returning to my bike I started her up and set off but immediately became aw...

Re: Visibility/Additional Lighting
Fitted my motobuzzo lights today - very impressed, used the supplied lights and switch gear, relays, etc and they work a treat. Very unobtrusive design that blends in perfectly with the bike. Would definitely recommend

Re: R1200R vs F800R
I had a F800ST before I switched to the 1200. Great bike and really quick and flickable but my back and wrists couldn't take it
Absolutely love the 1200 though which is, in my opinion, streets ahead as an all rounder.

Re: Fuel Gauge and Mile to Empty
Same here  , mine went 2 weeks after I got the bike and it was just a wEek outside of warranty. After playing my face the dealer got BM to agree to replace FOC as a goodwill gesture. Don't think it's going to last or long though - after every fill up it takes a couple of miles to register the ...

Did mine last week - what a nightmare. You need hands the size of a baby with the finesse of a pianist and the strength of the hulk
