Re: Priced right?

Good move deciding to keep the bike I sold mine a couple of years ago and have regretted it from day one.

Re: Let's make a list of big $ repairs

For what it's worth I traded my 04 with 26K on the clock in on an 08 Suzuki DL650 Vstrom about a year ago. The reason was I was in an accident where the entire back half of the R had to be replaced, in retrospect I should have insisted they total it. After the wreck and reading about all the clutch ...

Re: Bike Culture - Brazil

I go to Brazil 5 or 6 times a year and have never seen so many motorbikes in one place. In Sao Paulo they are everywhere and lane split without slowing down   , it's amazing to see how they drive down there. Once you get out in the country away from the major cities it would be a nice ...

consistency is the key to long term results. The most important workouts are the ones you really don't want to do, just make yourself go and you will be glad you did. Keep up the good work.

Re: F650 Experience, single not the new twin

If you decide to go with side cases check out http://www.cariboucases.com. I have them on my KLR they cost a little less than some of the other hard case options and I think they look really good especially on a black 650GS. Also if you are interested in a little dirt road riding check out http://ww...

Re: Good by to the Roadsters

Thanks to all for the kind words and encouragement, in exchange for selling the roadsters I get a new custom made GURU Tri bike with a set of ZIPP carbon fiber wheels, the whole package will only weigh about 17# :D at my age (56) I need to buy a little speed (no not that kind).

Good by to the Roadsters

Well the time has come to part with our roadsters. We love the bikes but with the orthopedic issues my wife has it is just a little too big for her and there are other prioraties at the moment. I will post the information and pictures on the buy / sell section in a day or two but for now here is wha...

Re: KLR650 or R1150R??

I bought an 08 KLR a few months ago and have had an opportunity to compare the R (still have) vs the KLR. If I had purchased the KLR first I probably wouldn't have my R. The KLR is just easy to ride and fun, if I see a dirt road I don't think twice I just go if I am in the mood. I ride my KLR most o...

I always tell them I need a cash deposit of $10K and they can ride it all they want, so far no takers.

+1 on the Jet Boil and French Press. I collect the little individual coffee packets from the hotels I stay in while traveling for work and use them. They work great and there are no coffee grounds to bother with. All you have to do is empty the French Press, boil more water, reload and you are ready...

+1 on the adaptor I have the same one and it works like a charm when I need to plug in my 276C. I get about 5 hours out of this unit with the back light on all the time before I have to recharge.

I got to ride / drive one at a demo day. They are a lot of fun and I wouldn't mind having one but I would not get rid of either of my bikes to make room. The dealer here in Bradenton is selling them for around $15K.

Yep me and the Mrs are yuppy scum as well. Hers even has the moto girl monogram. I guess that makes her a bigger yuppy than me. We should plan a Kermit Chair Yuppy Scum Social, I will bring the Chardonnay or MD2020 which ever is more popular. :D

Counting the Days

The countdown has begun; in exactly 1095 days on 1/1/2011 we are going to retire. Three years sounds like a long time but when I look back at how long I have been at my job (27 years) it is just around the corner. For our first big retirement adventure we have decided to ride to Alaska and expect to...

Sears commitment to our troops

I found this on another motorcycle website and thought it was worth passing on. Subject: Sears - Christmas shopping has already started I know I needed this reminder since Sears isn't always my first choice. Amazing when you think of how long the war has lasted and they haven't withdrawn from their ...
