One-hose vs. three-hose gas pumps
I went a new Chevron gas station where they just replaced the three-hose pumps with one-hose pumps. The guys were working on the pumps and had the panels removed; I was also able to ask them some technical questions. The hose is 3/4" I.D. and 8 feet long. There's 6 feet of 3/4" I.D. piping...

doug you are right. the sport/standard 6th shifts from 5th to 6th the same as it shifts from 4th to 5th. If you have the OD it does not feel right to shift to 6th until you are going over 70 mph. I have had both and both have their advantages and disavantages. Not a big deal in my book. That's true...

I searched through quite a few posts for some of this info. I own a 2004 Rockster, I'm in the US, my tires only have 2300 miles on them (low wear) and it seems like I have an indicated 75 mph at exactly 4000 rpms. I've installed the standard R bars on my Rock for just the reasons you stated. No real problems doing this, around an hour using the instructions I got from another board.
