Just a matter of time now to sift thru all the data. Im thinking of programming something like this to display bike v...

Re: R12 CAN hack
Looks great Wayne. Though I have no idea what you might do with this information. Bet it's fun learning. Keep posting! :smt023 Thanks Dave and Bob, going to have a supplementry display for the bikes vitals. Initially I was after just the engine temp, but finding a bunch of additional info. This mor...

Re: R12 CAN hack
Got TPS and RPM figured out see pic. Couldnt wait for the Haynes manual so I started poking around the cluster. Wire colors are the same, but the pinout for the identical connector under the seat is different!? http://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/wayneosdias1/R12%20CAN/RMPTPS0x10C_zps636ff2c3.j...

Re: Oil Filter
I'm running the pflow stainless steel reuse filter. Pretty bullet proof, reusable filter element, 17mm socket head, cooling fins, magnetic catch. Pretty good for $90

Re: Recommend Me a Helmet!
I went to the dealer and fitted all the helmets on display; Aria, Shoei, Scorpion among others. Surprisingly one of the least expensive brands HJC seemed to fit the most snug w/o pressing my forehead. I too am 5'7" and wear a size xs. It is loud, but from what I hear from most folks any helmet ...

Re: Anyone drop/crash their R12R whilst with BMW cases fitte

Re: Project Heretic
the hall sensor originally ran 12v direct from the BMW loom/battery, i tried limiting the voltage down to 5v from the battery and via a 5v ref from the ecu but i still couldnt get a decent signal. so a known good sensor to run at 5v is the better option i think, i will bench test the new trigger wh...

Re: Project Heretic
Awesome build. Contacted TTS re SC r12r build and they said nothing in the works for the immediate future. Are you running stock internals? Will there be water injection? That SC has separate oiling system? Cannot wait to see this thing done. Glad to be seeing so much progress so quickly, bravo! th...
