Re: What are your Wunderlich Trophy fairing impressions?
David, I received and installed my Trophy fairing a couple of days ago. Here are some early notes and impressions: - I'm somewhere between 5' 8" and 5' 8" so roughly your height. - I rode about 50 miles today in a variety of wind/speed conditions. - The screen does a respectable job of red...

Thanks for the info.
Coincidentally, my fairing shipped yesterday and will arrive tomorrow. Good timing for this thread.

Re: What are your Wunderlich Trophy fairing impressions?
Surprising number of you NorCal / Santa Cruz area folks here. I miss that place. Are you guys aware that Wunderlich's US headquarters are in Watsonville? I'm pleased to see the positive remarks on this fairing. I've had the "Classic" version of it on order for a couple of weeks. I'm hoping...

Re: Bought a Schuberth
Thanks for the info on the electronics. If I decide to wire up a outlet near the front of the bike, I think I'll just with go with a Powerlet outlet hard-wired to the battery. Back on topic : I've been riding with the C3 Pro light tint face shield for a while. It's worth a look if you're not satisfi...

Re: Bought a Schuberth
Congratulations. I love my Schuberth. It's a great helmet. Question for you - I'm new to BMW bikes. When I got my bike about two weeks ago, I went searching for a power port in the front and couldn't find one. Your post got me searching and I now understand that there's a CanBus port under the tank....

Re: Questions from a prospective buyer
Really helpful suggestions here. Thanks again. dbrick: Stevenson 69?! You must have opened the place. I'm Porter '90. If I find my way down there, I'm going to offer to take you out for a beer and listen to your stories. Don't hold your breath, though, I've been back once in the past 20 years. :) Fo...

Re: Questions from a prospective buyer
Thanks for the continuing info. I purchased the bike a couple of days ago and included the ASC retrofit in the deal - this included the part and the unlock. So no more need for debate since I assume they already cashed my check. Now it's just a wait for the parts which they seem to think need to com...

Re: Questions from a prospective buyer
Thanks for the welcomes, tips, and encouragement. I'll post pics within the next couple of days but you're just looking at a stock machine for now. Still...it's a pretty one. Thanks for the tip on the gasket, Clem. Seems like an easy and obvious upgrade given the photos of rusty tanks that people ha...

Re: Questions from a prospective buyer
Rode my new R1200R home this afternoon.
I did add ASC though the part(s) need to be ordered from "out of the country". We'll see what shows up.
Really enjoyed the 25 or so mile ride home - what a fun bike.

Questions from a prospective buyer
Hi, folks. I apologize if this is a duplicate post – my previous post didn’t show up for some reason (do posts from new members need to be approved?) I’m working with a local sales guy on a potential purchase of a ’14 R1200R – black/white with the classic package. I have a few questions I’m hoping y...
