I have an 04 roadster... 2 spark and braided lines were some of the changes that came in with this model year.

Your description precisely matches the stock braided lines that came with mine.

Many references to this problem on the board.... I've used electrical tape and removed/relocated problematic zip ties. And more recently neatened it up further by wrapping it up with Techflex braided cable sleeving (from Amazon).

Looking for a high seat... The 820mm one per the parts fiche on realoem.com.

Just closing the loop on this thread. Got the final drive serviced and installed without much hassle. Cleaned up a lot of wiring and cracked insulation while I had the bike apart. Finally got her out for the first ride of the season... which was pretty much a test run close to home to make sure all ...

I used electrical tape around the bundle of wires and then put the braided sleeving over it. (still working on it)

The braided sleeving cleans up the look and is sturdy enough to provide abrasion resistance where it's needed.

Jim- Looks like you cleaned up the wiring with Techflex sleeves?

Looked into what it would take to disassemble the final drive and get the cracked housing fixed... well beyond my skill level and comfort zone. Sourcing a used final drive (31:11) on eBay can be had but of questionable prove...
