:D Life would really SUCK without twisty roads. Yesterday I took about a 200 mile ride nowhere in particular (on my R12C). This morning I decided to head out for breakfast on my Rockster. Sacramento is situated in a valley right next to the Sierra range, and oh boy, there's quite a variety of twist...

what about a long distance trip without a windscreen? Does the slightly forward position hold you into the wind so as not to cause too much fatigue? My wifes, Suzuki C50, at about 65 really pushes you back because you're so upright. My M50 isn't as bad because of a slightly forward lean. Wondering i...

Thanks for the replies. I've got about 8k miles under my belt in the last year and took the beginner MSF course, so moderately experienced. About 5'11" and sat on an '07 r1200r with a mid height seat and was perfect.

Let me know when you want to get rid of the R1150R. I have never experienced the BMW family, but just have a sense about what awaits. The Marauder or M50 does combine the Cruiser styling cues with a slightly sporty feel, but it's too easy to drag the pegs so I yearn for something that will give me a...

Hey Mike, from NW MO here. Wife rides an '06 C50c a suzuki limited edition 805cc. Just like a a less expensive Fatboy from HD. Very easy riding, your wife may even decide to ride herself, it's really that easy, extra low seat height, not too much power... heck my old lady is all of 5'2" and 105...

BoiseBeemer - Thanks for the detailed and insightful reply!! I appreciate your time and thoughts! so, maybe I'll go with the Roadster, hmmmm, in Piedmont Red or Ferro Blue, or silver or ... As I approach the big 4-0, I guess I'm not quite the demographic, but I like to think I'm younger and more hip...

thanks guys. i dig the funk of the Rockster, but from what i seem to be reading, the Roadster might be a better long-term, sport, touring, commuter. I like the Ferro and think the Rockster headlight and instruments would look cool. Of course, everytime I see pretty much any R1150R I salivate. I just...

Question from a BMW dreamer

I am still in the dreaming stage but had a question.

Has anyone seen a Dark Ferro blue with the Rockster headlight?

I love the Rockster headlight but also really like the Dark Ferro, wouldn't that be a cool combo?

Hello! Rockster wanna-be owner

just wanted to say hey to all the Rocksters. i am totally (so 80's) diggin' this bike! I currently ride a Suzuki M50 with a few nice mods, Cobra pipes, Kury Hypercharger the more major ones. While constantly scraping my pegs and bootheels, I find myself longing for something more but not a crotch ro...
