looking to remove the abs and servo off of a 2002 1150r and take brakes back to normal, brake lines are all original so hoping to replace them with s/s braided ones, anybody know the best place to buy the bits to do this ? uk based suppliers would be best to save on shipping costs....... read a few ...

sounds like cam chain, mine started to tick around 27000 miles and lh one was realy slack and slapping against cyclinder, had both replaced and service by local mobile mechanic for around the £200 mark, think he used uprated parts as oe is known to fail.

Hi there guys, hope this finds you well,........ own a 2002 1150r with abs and servo brakes, got just on 30'000 miles on the clock, on starting from cold and setting off the abs self checks and warning lights all go out, servo whines and both front and rear brakes function as normal, after around 2 ...

hey there guys, further to my abs problem, lights ended up being on permanently and not self checking, had everything checked by mechanic mate with no joy, gaps, fluids, battery ect, looked like a trip to mottrad and the costs that go with it, taped over the annoying lights and carried on riding, af...

no joy on any of the things suggested so looks as tho trip to dealer is in order, thanks for all your help.

thanks for the advice boys, have checked the under tank resevoirs and one was a little low, putting the bike back together now and fingers crossed that will be the problem, if not i may go along the lines of removing the abs all together, watch this space !

checked both the visable ones which are ok, taken tank off and located abs unit underneath, there are two caps but cant seem to get either of them off to check levels, do they unscrew or just tug off with pliers, not to mad on all this mechanical stuff and dont want to do any damage.
