+1 on Gieco.
Actually just moved my Home Owners over to Gieco as well. This is after Nationwide (whom I had been with for 15 years with Home Owners) tried to raise my HO 60%. This 60% was even over the state limit - they had the gaul to try and get me to sign the wavier.

I also found these http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/pr ... /2016/246/ which are similar to the Verhoelen design but cheaper. Have not tried them myself but looks like they would work,

Re: Draft Windshield Survey
The measurement questions are going to be tough to get answers. If you could get a sample of known type windscreen vs measurement then you could formulate the numbers.
I like your idea.

Re: What's the Most Embarrassing Thing You've Done on Your Bike?
If we include other bike’s, I have one.. Years ago I had a Norton 850 Commando with a kick-starter. At the time I was living in North Dakota, care of Uncle Sam. A buddy and I where riding around the back roads looking at interesting items like the geographical center of North America, he was on his ...

Re: Why the R1200R?
Doing surgery to the ergonomics (raising or lower the bike) is a risky thing. I have known folks who have spent more then a couple grand getting the bike to "feel right again". For me, the R12R was correct in standard setup (middle size seat and standard height). If I needed a lowered bike...

Re: Why the R1200R?
For me, I had my eye on a Triumph Tiger. Even went to the dealer with checkbook in hand. Did not even know the r1200r existed. The Tiger sat just a little to tall for me. So in the process of working out the details of getting the Tiger lowered, the dealer suggested the r1200r. Frankly it had/has ev...

Re: GPS mounts
I just bought a refurbed Garmin 2720 (yeah I know, there are much better units out there but I am cheap - well at least try to be). Not to hijack the thread, but I've had a 2720 in my car for years. You don't have to apologize for it, my Zuma 550 doesn't do any better a job. Now, back to our regula...

GPS mounts
I just bought a refurbed Garmin 2720 (yeah I know, there are much better units out there but I am cheap - well at least try to be). Now I am looking for a good way to mount it. I have seen the right off the handle bar clamps method like Don Eilenberger has on his first setup (http://www.eilenberger....

Re: Wunderlich flooterset
Thanks SG! Just what I wanted to see!
In the US the Wunderlich dealer wants $325 for the MicroFlooter. Which is just about what you would have in the Lumalink setup. Throw in the nice switch setup like http://www.eilenberger.net/R1200R_Roads ... switch.htm and you would be over $325.

Can you post a pic with the lights on? And the switch?
They look great!
I am just trying to decide whether to do the Lumalink or MicroFlooter!

I am interested. But I would like to try it before I buy it. Already went through that headache with a Corbin.
Would you consider sending to me prior to the swap/sale?

Winter months and Battery Tender
Perhaps this topic has already been beaten to death already but what do you do for the winter months with your battery? My bike is in my unheated garage covered with little attention unless we get a indian summer that happens to fall on the weekend.

You don't have to cut them - they will just squish up on the flairs. Looks good and solved my hand cramping on the OEM small diameter grips.

Re: Trouble with rubber boot on trailing arm
^ Yeah that is it. ^
I talked with the dealer today. They said they would order the parts and to set up an appointment to get is fixed. According to the service manager it would be a 30 minute job. He told me I could continue to ride the bike but should get fixed.

Trouble with rubber boot on trailing arm
Anyone else having trouble with the rubber boot on the trailing arm not staying connected? On my bike, the front of the rubber boot disconnects from the front side of the trailing arm. If you pull it back a little you can see the drive shaft. Also working it back in place only lasts a little while b...

Re: Corbin seat - about to pull the trigger
Can anyone with the corbin seat comment on the height/ reach to the pegs of this seat vs the std BMW seat. Corbin states that its taller than the low seat but how does it compare to the std bmw seat I bought TexasMule's old one and found that I sit (is) slightly taller then the stock regular seat. ...
