mad1150 which auto-parts store had the black tips? I love the way the black looks. I have a chrome on mine, but now want the black! I removed my heat shield though, looks cleaner imho.

Thats pretty cool. I checked out his web site. Your case is already listed on his victory list tab. So what was the technicality that he used in your case?

tires
Pneuby, I just finished a pair of Pirelli Diablo Stradas. They are great tires, but wore out pretty quickly. 5,000 miles to be exact. The Pilot roads will give you more miles than the Metzlers, but you will lose some grip. Let me know if you get the Conti's. I have been thinking about trying a pair ...

lost the plot
I couldn't agree more. Why would I want to spend $13,025 on a naked bike? Who does BMW think they are, Harley?

touring shield
Nutzi013, my bike came with the BMW touring shield on the bike. I remove it for most of the year, but slap it on in October for the cooler months. I am always amazed at how much noisier the bike is when the shield is on. I am 5'11 and the shield does keep the air off of my chest, but directs the air...

ContiRoadAttacks
I'm getting ready to replace tires and was wondering if anyone had used and likes the contiroadattacks? My friend who has them on an fz1 raves about them. Any comments would be appreciated.

no bunk in this junk
Well my ass is not on the, ahem, large size. Size 32 waist, and the stock seat murdered my ass on long rides. Just took delivery of a sargeant seat, and although I haven't taken a 100+ mile ride yet, the sargeant is definitely a big improvement in my opinion.

Front tire just arrived! I love the smell of new tires. Only took Pirelli 17 days to get the front shipped out. Thanks again Marcus!

Thanks for the info
Thanks for the tip Marcus! I ordered my tire yesterday and sent off for the free front. Apostle's post about errors on the Pirelli web site are spot on, but like he says you just check the 2nd from the top. I hope these tires are close to the Metzlers, but hey you can't beat a free front.

My bike came with BT56. Now at 5500 needing to replace. Would like something with more mileage, but I love the grip on these tires!
