Yes, but it's very simple. To recalibrate the Motronic to the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) turn the key on and without starting the engine twist the throttle to wide-open and back down to idle (be sure the fast idle lever is off) and then turn the key off. You can do it twice if you like before starting the engine and riding off.
BTW, you may notice subtle response differences for the first couple hundred miles while the Motronic relearns the optimum operating parameters that it forgot while the battery was disconnected.

I guess I have made at least one mistake on mine then. I pulled battery power some time back to install some additional wiring. I did not do as you guys have mentioned above concerning resetting the tps sensor. But I don't sense any running or driveability issues. Does the motronic learn anyway eventually?
Or should I pull power from the motronic and do the reset anyway?
