My Rockster and I have a rocky relationship. After just finishing up fixing a transmission problem I had last year I'm crusing along and suddenly the RPMs start to move up and I'm not giving any throttle.
I go into neutral and the RPMs spike up higher heading toward 9,000. So I kill the engine and limp back home. I've never run into this before, anyone have an idea as to what I may be looking at?
Thanks

Sounds to me your choke or choke-cable is stuck

Re: High RPMs no throttle
It's possible, although the choke still responds as per usual when I use it.
It's seems like I'm getting a lot more power than the choke would give I'm up into 9,000 RPMs when I shut down the engine.

Sounds more like the throttle is sticking.
Check the cable outers aren't getting lifted out of the grommet they sit in at the throttle bodies.
