I’m new to this site and I need your help with a measurement.
Explanation: I have a Bigfoot motor home with a short garage on the side. Look here: http://www.rvt.com/picture.php?ad_id=12 ... 1789_1.jpg for a picture of a similar unit. Since my r1150gs is too tall to fit and I love the boxer motor, I was thinking a r1150r/r1200r with no windshield or mirrors ( maybe swing down bar end mirrors) would fit. I only have about 46 ½ inches to play with.
With the bike upright on its wheels could someone please give me the height measurement of a R1150R and a R1200R (excluding the mirrors and windhield). I’m thinking the instrument pod or master cylinder would be the highest point. I’m trying to see if I could roll one of these in and clear the door. Thanks in advance for your help!
I have a R1150R Rockster with the K mirrors, just went and measured. The highest point not including mirrors was 45" with mirrors 47". Not sure if the R1150R's handlebars are higher, but the highest point on my Rockster is the eyebrow above the instrument cluster. Hope this helps
See, I told you guys, half the time I dont know what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the info and quick reply. It was a big help. Looks like there might be a rockster in my future. I'd still like to get a measurement for a standard r1150r if someone can provide that. Thanks again!
My gs is almost 54" high without the windshield and mirrors so it would be tough to make it fit even on its side ( I don't think my over 50 year old back could take it either!) I'd still like to get a measurement of a standard r1150r if someone could do it. Thanks!
