then, I have to prepare some nice photo of my bike!..
I'll try.
Welcome to the project jangwon5.

Regarding composition, all I can suggest is to try to photograph your bike with an interesting background. Dramatic scenery, famous landmark or location of personal interest is always good but you can also try to be creative. A shiny clean bike in front of an interesting derelict building or for example (not trying to suggest anything about your neighbourhood!).
Another way is to create a phot which says something about you, after all this is a collection of personal photos. However, since none of us are professional photographers, the main thing is that you are happy with the shot of your pride and joy.
Taking part in the project is just great whatever the quality of the photo. If it was that polished , we'd slap a copyright on it and sell copies!

The list continues to grow. 16 contributors from 7 countries.

If anyone has any advice about formatting photos, please send me a PM. Will then advise the group over next few days.

Aim to have your photos submitted to me by the 3rd week July,.. so you have 2 weekends to have a ride out, but don't worry, will not leave anyone out. Just let me know if you expect to be a little late

The number of months in our calendar will be determined by the number of owners submitting photos. Plus, we will have a section for group photos or those of special interest . Expect we will end up with a 2 or 3 year calendar - 36 fabulous photos of owners R1200s. Fantastic.

sumitting a single photo or multiples is OK. Each month of calendar will be dedicated to one bike so if you send multiple photos, please select one as the "main" photo (otherwise I will do it for you). Will try to format 3-4 others as thumbnails along one side of the main photo. It is also OK to add some text if the backgroud requires some explanation.

Suggest all phots are sent to me by PM (this will keep content secret until final version produced and circulated to each contributor).

Ummm... 3rd week in July many of us will be travelling from the MOA national to the RA national, which puts us heading home around the end of that week. Might I suggest the end of July as a cutoff?

Yes, I'm all for an end-of-July deadline, as I'll need time to learn how to use the new camera and find the perfect background!

NO NO NO NO NO!

Don't let HIM in. He makes us all look like whimps and wusses. Worse, he's mechanically competent and good looking and people like him. It's NOT FAIR wah wah wah wah wah ..

Actually, there is NO doubt Joe (Chitown) should have the cover shot. No-one has taken an R1200R where he has, or got better shots. All hail!

I'm in, we can't let Motorcycle_Girl represent Canada all by herself, there are a few of us here out west. I was going to offer snow, but I immediately realized that I can't compete with Joe snow, so I'll offer my custom milk jug hand guard farkled black w stripe beauty. A farkle section would be most entertaining.

So you think I'm good looking? :smt060 I didn't think I was your type!

Come on guys, I'm just another rider doing my thing...

BTW, the 12R has proven far more reliable than my 8GS.... funny how everyone said I should get a GS so as not to abuse the R, but I've worn out the GS in 20,000 miles where the R is going strong at 45,000+... wish I'd have been on it on my last ride North...

Joe,

A bike guy thinks you're good looking, not Catherine Zeta Jones, so don't loose any sleep over it and don't worry about getting in touch with your feminine side.

Count in this Canuck.

I have a lot of R1200R shots on my photoblog:
http://www.dailyrider.blogspot.com/

There's all manner of weather and terrain. Most link to high-resolution vesions you're welcome to use, or I'll submit a few of what i think are best.

The Canadian in me now feels awkward that i'm taking the list way over 14 contributors...
