ok, what is the vibration level like as compared to.....................oh...................my k4 honda cb750? both the 1200 and 1150? hands numb after 10 miles on the highway is the norm right now, i just ride through it. i've done 250 mile days but hated myself for days after. as a former bmw tech but never an owner, i never got to do more than 10 or 12 miles total on any of the twins.

I've done back-to-back-to-back 600mi days on both the R1150R and R1200R and can't say i ever really noticed much vibration with either. It also depends on the speed you cruise at. With more power, the R12R isn't working as hard at the higher speeds so seems to plod along with more finesse, perhaps vibrating less.bucky katt wrote:ok, what is the vibration level like

Sounds like carpel-tunnel to me (I'm WAY too familiar with the symptom - hits me just about 3-4 miles from work on my 10 mile commute.) The R1200 engine is much better this way then the 1150 engines were. My 1150 the numbness never went away.. with the R1200R - as others mentioned, I can typically ride right through it - it goes away after about 10 more miles. Try also keeping your wrists warm.. that helps me (and don't wear anything restrictive on your wrist, including a watch.)
