Wunderlich Trophy Fairing

I noticed a picture of the Trophy Fairing on the website and I'm thinkin' I might upgrade from my collection of windshields to something more permanent. Most of my riding is day trips and I don't mind the wind, its just the buffeting on the helmet that gets old. I guess you have to order these from Wunderlich direct but I was wondering if there were any Knight Black units out there new or used. Are there any issues I should be aware of, and how did the installation go? I've always liked the look of the R90s as the looked like they were moving even when parked. Its cold and snowy here in Colorado so why not shop for some niceities.

Costs around $850, I don't remember the exact price and there is only 1 size windshield but my wife only thinks it costs $125

Very Very Nice. I'd be hard pressed to fork over $850 ( For almost anything right now ) but it is a pretty fairing. I don't know if any of the others are as pretty. The other guys with fairings should post picture right here so we can compare.

dderrig - very nice. In fact the whole package looks first class. I like the way the headlight is set back in the fairing. The trunk on the pasenger seat also looks interesting, how about a picture of the whole bike.

Blair, I am 6' with a 32" inseam, that being said the air flow is good with very little buffeting and I ride without ear plugs on all short trips and the wind noise for me is very good (I would say the air hits me on the helmet somewhere but i get none of the turbulence that FU__S with your eardrums). I have had both BMW screens (sold the tall screen) and for me it's better than the tall screen as far as noise and gives better protection then both BMW screens but I did/do like both BMW screens. I tried the smallest Ztecknics (SP?) screen and the noise gave me a headache within 2 miles it was that bad. I do believe where your head sits in relation to and the shape of the screen has a lot to do with all these noise turbulence phenomena we deal with.

I went with the Wunderlich even though it'll take 6-8 weeks. The prices were the same but I liked the look the best. Thanks for all the feedback and options. I just wish it would warm up.

Just a heads up.. if someone is interested in one of these, I have the carbon-fibre finish one sitting in my garage unused. It has never been used. It will fit great on the stock BMW seats on the R12R, not so great on the Sargent seat (they made the rear section smaller) especially with my Quickover on the back.

List is $150. Make me a reasonable offer. Photos of the carbon-fibre finish are on their website. It looks identical to the pics..

I hope you're right, but all I see on the Wunderlich site is silver, black, "crystal gray metallic," and "granite gray metallic".
