New to me R1150R!

Post by DocStrange »

Hey all,

My new-to-me bike was delivered last Friday, and I completed the MSF course (using the provided, smaller bike) over the weekend, getting my license on Tuesday morning. The MSF instructors (who were great) very generously offered to meet me at an empty parking lot that afternoon to help me get used to the bigger bike. One of them snapped a pic (hope I do this img linking right...):

In related news, I've become a member. Thanks for all the info and support as I bought (and now rode!) my first bike.

Welcome and congrats on the bike. It is still one of the best all-around bikes on the planet!

Congrats on the new-to-you bike. As far as the R1150R's go - red IS the fastest.

Welcome,

I remember that new-to-me feeling... It's nice.

The feeling after 5 years is different... but still nice.
I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...

Jeez... Your first bike is an 1150R! My first (street) bike was a 1971 Honda CL175. Course that was 1976 and I was 16 years old, but STILL! Congratulations and enjoy.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone.

I was away on business this weekend, but looks like good weather for riding here in Milwaukee this week. :)

Funny coincidence about DrStrangelove's username and mine (and we have almost the same bike, to boot). Mine is a Marvel comics reference (but I love that movie, too).

There's something wrong with your suspension, you should not be able to flat-foot the bike ....

darn .... it's only me that has that model that can't be flat-footed? ... just kidding, DocStrange, welcome to our place on the net! =D>

cheers
