Here's the legit way: http://www.sierrabmwonline.com/motorcyc ... p-832.html. It's around $100. Ebay is filled with mostly pirated copies.

Here's a link to Max BMW where you can buy it on-line.

Select repair manual on the left and it will appear in the window on the right. The price is $108.54. You can get the part number there and order it through your dealer.
I assume Clymer is the preferred non-OEM source. I couldn't find it on Amazon but I just ordered my copy here for $28.85.

I'm sure there are better solutions out there. What are they? I saw and heard of a DVD put out by a respected wrench turner but I forget where to find that.

Re: Service Manual
Unfortunately I had to buy a bootleg copy since I'm still waiting on my legit copy to arrive from Sierra BMW by pack mule. My bike is ready for its 600 mi service and I don't want to ride it until that is done. following the checklist, the engine oil / filter is done, final drive change is done. Just need to do valve adjust, cyl. head re-torque, and sync check. Good thing I have a few Jap bikes sitting around to ride.
