Mike, I might be able to help. I put on my sport shield with the cooler weather and can't stand the noise. I'll take the clean air and jack up the Gerbings liner.

I also found that the sports shield created too much wind noise for me. Riding with no screen is much preferable. But I liked the look of the screen, so I cut it down by 2"...basically enough to protect the instrumentation, while trying to preserve the esthetics. The result is a significant improvement, with clean air around my helmet (like no shield), yet with some wind pressure removed from the chest.
Having said that, I have another screen on order, and if nothing else pans out for you, let me know. Given that windshield experiences are so varied among individual riders, my screen might be a last resort for you, as you'd likely want to start with the full screen and see what works for you.
