Winter Riding Gloves

Welcome to the "insanely expensive" glove club. Lee Parks and company really hit the nail on the head with their gloves. I also have the DeerTours (with the outseam)...On my third season with them.

Didn't know they made a Deer Tours outseam. Hmmm??? So, are they actually more comfortable as some folks claim?

So I went and ordered the Firstgear TPG Odyssey gloves at $89 from my local Cycle Gear, they have insulated backs AND uninsulated palms so heater grips will heat your hands faster , will get back when I get them.

The Odyssey gloves are excellent! very well made, fit perfect, and a reasonable length gauntlet. Extra layers of leather where you need it, and a ballistic nylon covered pad on the palm, if you ever go down. Did two 20 min. rides today with them, great feel and kept my hands warm in the low 70's without turning on the heater grips. Should be good in the 50's with the grips on.

Long time Lee Parks rider, and there simply is nothing else comparable. With heated grips I'm good into the high 30's, and in the upper 40's my hands are plenty warm. For colder.....truth be told I have no interest in riding on sub-zero roads. I tucked the front end last winter, didn't fall, but that one sort of cured me of wanting to ride when it's that cold. But then I'm in So Cal and also a weather wimp.
