Should I adjust my valves, and or sync my throttle bodies?

Post by combatcarry »

Its winter time and I can't wait to ride. I've been thinking of adjusting my valves, and syncing my throttle bodies. I'm a little hesitant because I love how my bike runs, and I don't have any perceivable "surge". Should I mess with it? Would I be fixing something that isn't broken?

You can certainly set the valves - but the engine needs to be at a good running temp to do the sync - and the downside of possible condensation in the oil after it cools

Can't see how anything could be hurt by checking the valve clearances. If it's quite and running well you may find they are OK. Well I take that back I almost shoved the timing mark cover inside my wife's engine last time but hopefully your are not as fat fingered and clumsy.
