Glenda Lights Wiring

Post by Hegs »

The instructions for wiring up the Glenda lights are a little confusing for me. Anybody here do it themselves?

i wired up the krista lights and it was a bit tricky at first but then quite simple once i got going. biggest trick is stashing the extra wiring up front. i did it without pulling the tank but if you do pull it it will be much easier. in the end i am very happy with the product and installation. very slick. be happy to give you more info if you need

I'm considering the same lights but not sure where to mount them. Any pics of how/where you mounted them. I really like these lights and think they would be great on the bike.
Thanks!

These are the Krista lights on the Lumalink mounts for the R1200R, and make for the easiest and nice looking mounting. The white LED's below the Kristas are Hyper-Lite Hyper-Whites that I installed with the original HID lamps that were on the brackets previously.

Lumalink website is here: http://www.lumalink.com/lumalink_brackets.html

I shortened all of the wires to the lengths needed to complete the job with a little extra as a service loop. I drilled holes thru the rear of the headlight assembly to access the connections required for the switched power (use the CITY light), and the high beam. I housed any additional cable within the headlight assembly. Everything looks and works great. I used the caliper mounts for mine. Many thanks to Doug for advice and putting me on to a killer fuse block.

Were you able to run all of this without any modifications to the canbus system? I'm looking to run a similar set up with hyper lights in the back, hellas in the front and would like to use my heated gear. Hopefully the system can handle it.

Correct. No mods to the canbus system required.

BTW - I also have the Hyperlites and recently ran an air pump, the lights, and a GPS/XM simultaneously without any problem. I did turn the Glendas to the lowest setting during that operation.
