I would say so. I just bought a 2003, R1150R with 8K, BMW cases, small BMW windshield, and a throttlemeister for $5,495 at a BMW dealer. Since that time, I've seen a lot of others for a lot more money, and more miles. I would add that I put a new battery and two Michelin Road Pilot 2 tires on it. That was my own preference, and I think there was some life in the old tires, and battery. I just wanted to get it over with while I was in the mood. Also, on the post I put about the Boosterplug, I mistakenly referred to it as a 2004, but it's a 2003. Good luck!

You don't state if the bike has ABS.

Kelly Blue Book has ball park estimates on excellent condition bikes, they are a decent starting place if one is not sure what the range should be:

2004 R1150R, Non-ABS, without tail rack and any bags: $4,940
http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle/retail/20 ... 50r/65336/

2004 R1150R ABS without any bags and tail rack. $5,525
http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle/retail/20 ... abs/65338/

The hard side bags and the rack will set you back $800-$1000 new, and hard to find used.
The Soft Top case would be even more.

So, if the bike has ABS, it's a steal with the accessories, and if not, it's still in the right ball park for non-ABS with the bags.

The mileage is the true golden value here, 4300 miles is nothing, barely broken in.
Freedom is dangerous. Those in power that steal freedom are more dangerous.

4300 is not broken in at all. That is an infant.

She's about broken in I think.

Good choice on buying the bike. I have an 04' no ABS, and I LOVE it..

Man the bike is really nice, I love it got to take it on a longer trip. Honestly was suprised how well it handles and I had 3 aprilis before r1150r. Breakes are good to and front end feel is different in a good way.

Get the throttle bodies synced, if they are not all ready, makes for a very smooth ride. And cut all the too tight zip ties on the front wire cables coming out of the headlamp and instrument cluster (break wires), and replace the plastic fuel line disconnects with metal ones (beemerboneyard.com). ENJOY!

We put on Avon Storm 2 on our 2002 and they are way better than the Dunlop Roadsmarts on our 04.
