Do you mean the BMW three-spoke wheel style found on older K and R bikes? Like those on my beloved old R850R?

These are beautiful 3-Spoke wheels, the front is 120/70-17", BUT the rear is 160/60-18", and so you will be more limited in choosing tires. Most everything has gone to 17" today.

That's the ones, always been my favorite. But the 18" rear may be a problem?

Worst thing about my Citrus Rockster is the 'diseased wasp' colour (on the wheels, i don't mind it otherwise!) and intricate wheels! That colour gets grimy within minutes of riding, and the wheels (esp. the front) are a complete b***ard to clean !

I'm far from being anal about my bike being spotlessly clean (so really can't be bothered to take the wheels off just to clean them TBH), but it would be nice to be able to clean the wheels relatively easily on the bike. The R1150R / Rockster wheels are a pig to clean IMO.

That is part of why I like the Tri-Spoke wheels. You can damn near just throw the rag at them, and their clean.

Cleaning the front on a Rockster / Roadster, will [almost guaranteed] cost ya a knuckle.....

+1 I agree Ron. Doesn't get much easier than those wheels. They look good, too!!

I am not so sure if these wheels fit. It depends on where the brake disc is fixed on the R1150R. Is it on the wheel or on the final drive? If on the wheel then the older rims will not fit! Also for the front wheel you need the appropriate speedo drive. And as the rear wheel is available only as an 18" rim your choice of tires becomes fairly limited.

I wouldn't do it.
