Was just on Chris Harris site on how to convert to non ABS on a 2004 ABS r1150rt-p. Appears cost is less than $50 (relay $11. x 2 + shipping + tax) verse the cheapest ABS module from ebay of $350-400 range, of questionable quality! I just can't see spending the $2000 + for a new module on a $3500 motorcycle every 4-5 years.
Since the ABS modules appear to be unrepairable?
I need advise on if I should delete the ABS system, as the ABS was one of the resons I purchased m/c!
Lever and foot force high with no servo/abs? I of coarse have the dreaded ABS failure lights blinking, no not battery, service etc. but do have the front brake servo on braking, but no rear brake at all. Put a piece of black tape over the lights so no distraction!

I faced that exact situation on my 1150. I was ready to update the bike, but with a non functioning abs it would be hard to sell. I felt that even though at that time the bikes were ava without abs, selling it without required me to tell the prospective buyer what the history was. If that didn't cause the sale to be lost, I fear it would have brought the price down. And I didn't want to part her out.
I ultimately found from a member here a barely used abs unit that I had installed. There is a place in Moscow, Id called modulemasters.com. Tyler is the guy to chat with. They rebuild them for cheap and guarantee their work for 5 years. Unfortunately they do not "yet" work on the 1150 units, but will be within the next few months. It is worth an email to him to check on their time frame for rebuild.
Also, if you do remove your unit, they buy them.
Good luck
