I just want to clear up an incorrect statement I made within a previous post. I had either read or heard somewhere that the secondary (bottom) plugs on a twin spark R (2004 and newer) fired only below 2500 rpm. I even asked my dealer's service guy and he wasn't certain if that was correct or not. I did some more research and found the answer on ADV forum. The bottom plugs do indeed fire 100% of the time. The purpose of the lower plug was purely to satisfy emission requirements and as far as I can tell does not enhance the bikes performance.
My apologies for making an incorrect statement.

Re: Bottom plugs-Twin Spark-When do they fire?
Old news I know, but I had bad spark plug lead wire on bottom RH cyl. @ one time that use to fall off of spark plug, and never noticed the difference, but bike had a small rpm drop @ idle, so when I noticed the 50-100 rpm drop I knew plug wire was off again!
