Two Brothers Exhaust System on Rockster

Post by fnfalman »

There's this mechanic kid who works at Irv Seaver BMW that just fitted a Two Brothers exhaust system to his Series 80. http://www.twobros.com/cgi-bin/shopper? ... 1150R.html

It looked clean and sounded great. A low base that has some bark to it. A lot better than the low rumble of the Remus system. Had I known about this darn product I would have gotten it instead of the Remus.

The system comes with a cat eliminator similar to the Remus Y-pipe.
Cogito Ergo Vroom - I think therefore I ride.

I just put one on my rockster a few weeks ago. Havent really had the opportunity to really take it out and test it all that much, as its been either cold, crappy, or I have been a long ways away from my bike. I will have to agree though, I like the sound of it. It is rather loud, but nothing compared to some of the bikes running around here. Definiately growly and deep.

I got mine off ebay, for like 300 bucks, so I didnt really get taken that bad i didnt think, It is used, but pretty good shape. It has the C4 round can, and let me tell you, it is CLOSE to the back tire. It will not touch it, but it is probably in the neighborhood of 5-7mm. We will see how that holds out.

Seems to be a consensus around that the two brothers is not that great of a pipe, but hey, I am young, and I still like loud stuff, so what the hell.

I just bought a 2004 Rockster that came with a Two Brothers exhaust. The can is more like 12-13 cm from the rear tire on my bike.

I didn't really notice the mod until I'd almost completed the purchase. I would have preferred the stock exhaust system despite the additional weight. It's difficult to pull away from a stop sign without drawing attention. It's not that loud ... just the type of noise.

if you need a stock system we could probably work out a trade.

If you put a lot of miles on in a year the muffler repacking is going to be very expensive. I am told $60-70 dollars every time you have to repack and it could be as often as every 5 to 6,000 miles. I am looking for staintune sytem or something similar that I don't have to repack. Wardieone
