Lowering muffler re full sized left side bag

Post by jsqueri »

HELP!!

I bought the hardware to lower my muffler, then I crashed and burned on another bike and am laid up for a month or 2.

My daughter, who has a 2001 roadster (older style) is leaving on a trip and I was wondering if anyone knew if the hardware I bought for my 2003 Rock will work on her bike.

If it's an R1100R (three spoke wheels) then it will not work - completely different exhaust systems.

I have seen one done once..I think he cut the exhaust..either re welded it..or put in an angle piece of pipe..and made a new rear bracket.

As far as a new foot locater..you should be able to do the two little 'L' brackets on the case.

It shouldn't be too hard to do...but that little bent piece of pipe would be the only bit she could use from your bits.
