I like the way that they copied the armored windscreen on the original BF109! Probably not effective until you get behind it at 350mph. I'd like to see it drag race a Triumph dolled up like a Spitfire, or a Harley dressed up like a P-51B!

Tally Ho!

That is definately a unique bike! If it did come with machine guns, it would be a good commuter ride! :P

Sometimes I marvel at the time people spend on custom bikes and frankly, most have little appeal to me. That one, however, it not the garden-variety chopper custom we are used to seeing.

Okay,

Let's make everyone happy and race a Harley, with its Siamese connecting rods and external pushrods, armored up like a P-47!

It's a more accurate comparison, since they are mechanically similar and technologically related.

They are more mechanically similar, but, unlike BMW, Harley-Davidson never built airplane engines.

Thank god they (HD) didn't make aircraft engines or we'd all be speaking German right now!

True. But it was built in the US by Packard.
Packard had some history of building V12's btw.

As a side note.
As best i know BMW never built HD's.
But HD did build BMW's in WW2.
The HD XLA was their copy of the BMW R71. :P
