Nock nock

Post by renagade »

My 02 R has a nock on the right hand side of the engine when I start her up, can this be the right hand cam chain tens. or can the left hand tens. make the right side nock. I know you say''they all do that'' but it's not what i want when you are in a crowd telling every one how good beemers are and then you start her up and you get the three or four nock's.
What do you think?????????

Do you park it on the side stand? If so, it might just be lack of oil. It not, someone help.

Does the noise go away once you start moving (i.e., you're building up oil pressure at higher RPM's)? If so, you could have too much rocker arm end play. Try searching for rocker end play adjustment.

Just a wild thought.
