This motorcycle is flawless, there are no scratches, dents or blemishes. It is in what I would either call new or showroom condition. It has never been dropped or been involved in a collision. The bike has always been garaged and has never seen rain. The bike runs excellent and has never given me a single problem.

All service on the motorcycle has been preformed by BMW Motorcycles of Louisville, where the motorcycle was purchased from. The first service was done at 612 miles and most recently an oil-change and general inspection at 1976 miles. During the last service both recalls were preformed (oil filler cap and front brake).

The title is clean and lien free. All maintenance records are available.

Good to hear you are considering getting back on a bike, Dwayne. This does sound like a nice bike and yellow was my favorite KR until I saw the all black ones. I'm deciding between selling my RR to get the KR or keeping the RR and adding a dual sport/dirt bike. There are just too many "oooooh, lookey there" roads near me which require something other than an RR to explore (unless I was ChiTown)

(don't forget to add the finder's fee into the final cost... )

Oh - and yes, I think Johnnydee just imported a bike into Canada. Ask him.

Gypsy, I think you might very well enjoy a dual sport bike... I found myself seeing all these neat dirt roads on my "day rides" and wondering where they went. I wound up with an F650GS, and have now done a bit of exploring on it. Of course, there are a lot of choices in dual sport bikes, I chose the 650 because that dirt road might be 300 miles from the house and the 650 does pretty well on the highway (within limitations).

It's got an easy 200+ mile range, and except for the seat being way too soft it's reasonable for all-day trips. I tend to ride in "big chunks", my typical day ride is 350-600 miles so I needed something with good ergo's. Mind you, it's not the best choice for true off-roading, but it's more than adequate for exploring dirt roads.

I met a woman last year who rode her 650 from the midwest up to Alaska, then down the west coast all the way to Tierra Del Fuego (tip of S. America), then back up to SoCal. Something like 17k miles, and it never missed a beat!

Ya, I might be interested in this down the road from now aswell. I have lots of family in the U.S..

The plan,
Give money to family member to buy bike get "them" to drive it over and give me the bike for free. lol. I wonder if I'd have to pay that nasty customs fee of 40% or more cause the bike was built in Germany and not in the USA

Canada Customs is bloody robbery. It's the reason I don't buy any BMW gear. A BMW leather for example is more than double here in Canada than in the States. I wonder how this applies to motorcycles.

Hi Marku

It's my understanding that you only have to pay duty of 5 or 6 % on non North American made goods!
Plus of course all of our other regular taxes!

I have imported cars before and I am now in the process of importing an 04 R1150r as we speak!
You can go to http://www.riv.ca for all required info!

One word of warning however, okay maybe two words of warning ,be sure you get a clean title ie. no liens or US customs will not let you export the bike!
Also no salvage titles or Transport Canada will not let you title the bike!
